Terrific Tuesday!

Sorry there was no post yesterday - I was in a staff meeting!

Block A:  Fabulous job on the oral presentations - you are all rock stars!  The rough draft of your conceit is due tomorrow for peer editing, and the entire package is due on Friday.

Block C:  Act 1 quiz on The Tempest tomorrow.  You should also start your character Act 1 character response.

Block D:  Complete the outline for your Great Poetry Essay.  The rough draft is due on Thursday.

Finally Friday!

Block D:  The good copy of your found poem is due on Monday, as is your depth of meaning poem with the written reflection.  If you wish, you may choose the 2 poems you are going to write about for your essay.

Block C:  Read Act 1 sc. 1 of The Tempest.  Be prepared to summarize on Monday!

Block A:  It is dramatic reading day on Monday!!! Make sure your speech is ready to hand in on Monday.  Please complete the self-evaluation part of the criteria.  Please complete the outline for your extended metaphor paragraph.  Point form is fine!

Thorough Thursday

Block A:  We worked on the 4th and final task for Shakespeare's "My Misstress' Eyes" sonnet.  You are to create a conceit (extended metaphor) of your own in a formal paragraph following the same format as my example with Miss Strangeworth.  Make sure that you have your speech and poem for class tomorrow because we will be rehearsing for our dramatic reading day on Monday!

Block C:  Phew - take a much needed rest tonight!!! Our synthesis essays will continue in class tomorrow.

Block D:  The good copy of your found poem with the visual is due on Monday, as is your depth of meaning poem with the written reflection.  We will start our mini-essay tomorrow!!
