Block B: I hope you all enjoyed the performance of our wonderfully talented student musicians today as much as I did! Don't forget to complete the rough draft of your current events poem for Monday.
Block C: Today in class we tackled the characterization task - to write a minimum 17-line poem that captures the essence of your interpretation of the Grandmother from "A Good Man is Hard to Find." Once you completed the poem - you worked on the theme notes and then read the story "A Small, Good Thing" for Monday's class.
Block D: Thank you for your honest reflections - and heart-felt poems. I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed reading them. You are all such inspiring and impressive writers. Well done! We will start to share our Bringing Poetry to Life projects on Wednesday. You will have time in class on Monday and Tuesday to prepare your presentation.
To seek, to strive, to find, and not to yield. - Ulysses
