Block B: Wow. Deep stuff for Devon! We are almost at the end of our novel study - you all have been doing great. I appreciate your reflective thinking and your attempts to put yourself in Devon's shoes. There will be time tomorrow to complete the 3rd reading strategy and the journal response.
Block C: Thank you all for your incredible work on your poetry presentations. I am honoured to witness your art. Please make sure you hand in the reflection and the criteria sheet with your speech, notes and works cited. Homework tonight is to complete all 4 thesis statements on the worksheet I gave in class. State your declaration (which side you are on) give your 3 reasons why - then turn it into a thesis statement.
Block D: Great work on the poetry challenge today! I gave class time at the end of the block for you to start thinking about the poet and poem that you are going to attempt to bring to life. For homework tonight please try to narrow down your options so that you are able to get started tomorrow.
