Sun-shiny Friday!

Block B: If you did not finish the anticipation questions for "The Monkey's Paw" please do those for Monday. In addition - the good copy of your mind map is due. Please bring the good copy and the planning sheet, with the rubric on it, for Monday's class!

Block C: If your essay is not in today - it is now overdue and you will be getting an interim. Please complete the three mandatory questions about "The Child Who Walks Backwards" for Monday.

Thwarted Thursday!

Block B: You will get a slight reprieve where your mind map is concerned. You will have some extra time outside of class to complete your good copy. I will not be collecting the mind map on MONDAY. We will be moving on to something else tomorrow - so don't count on any class time to get it finished!

Block C: If you have not yet handed in your essay as of tomorrow by 3:00 - you will be getting an academic alert interim. Blackout Poems are now LATE. Make sure you get yours in!

Wondering about Wednesday?

Block B: We will continue working on the rough drafts / good copies of your mind maps in class tomorrow. The finished good copy is due on Friday.

Block C: If you didn’t finish the blackout poetry task from class today - it is homework for tonight! Don’t forget about your essays - your last day to hand it in is Friday!

Totally Tuesday!

Block B: Today in class we worked some more on the planning page for our mind map. If you were not able to complete all the parts - please do so for homework tonight. For those that I didn't provide feedback for today - I'll be sure to catch you tomorrow!

Mega-Monday!

Block B: Today in class we talked about Mind Mapping - CLS #1 - a note-taking strategy. For homework tonight, you are to complete 3 of the Main categories for either Mrs. Jones or Roger - your choice. It does NOT have to be the same character you did for your STEAL graphic organizer. We'll continue working on it in class tomorrow.

Block C: Today was the last day with the laptop cart - so if you are not done your essay at this point - you need to complete it on your own time!

Block B: We have just started our pre-reading work for "Thank-you Ma'am" before we read the story together in class tomorrow. There is a practice quiz on Verbs tomorrow - so study all parts of the yellow handout!

Block C: This essay will eventually come to an end - I promise!!! Tomorrow our goal is to finish all parts of the body paragraph graphic organizer, get those conclusions done and start typing up the rough draft. Fingers crossed that we make it through!
