Block B: Great work on the Jay-Z and Eminem lyric examinations - the questions were completed in class as your ticket out the door. The rest of the class was to work on your rap lyrics - presentations are on Tuesday!

Block B: If you didn't finish your work the B.I.G. lyrics from yesterday - please have those done for tomorrow. Also you should be working on your own rap lyrics - remember rhyme and rhythm! Presentations are Tuesday!
Block C: Thanks for handing in your journals today. You need to read and complete your sticky notes in preparation for the group meeting tomorrow.
Block D: I explained the double-entry journal assignment that you are expected to complete 4 times for this unit. I will collect 2 entries next week. I'm looking for evidence of your engagement with the novel - the must be in good copy - pen or typed, but single-spaced is fine. Wandering Wednesday:
Block B: Today we looked at the profile of BIG and did an examination of his lyrics. Please complete the questions on the back of the lyrics sheet for homework. As well - you need to complete the brainstorm for the write your own rap assignment.
Block C: I know that you didn't all get a chance to finish your group work today - not too worry - there will be time tomorrow to finish up. I will be collecting 2 journal entries tomorrow - make sure they are self-edited and in pen or typed!

Block C: A great start to your novel study groups today! If your group needs some extra time to complete the discussion organizer that's fine - you can have time on Monday. This is a self-directed unit. If you know that you need more time to complete the reading and journals - get a head start this weekend. There will be two reading and work blocks to start the week.
