Freaky Friday!

Block D:  We read "Who said we all have to talk alike" in class today.  Answer the 7 questions about how character is revealed, and complete the story map for Monday.

Thinking on a Thursday:

Block D:  For homework tonight complete the task for the short story "The Father":  Imagine that the father in the story has asked you for advice on how to have a better relationship with his son, Johnny.  Write a letter to the father explaining what he should do.

Block C:  Please complete the connotations work for the first 2 poems on the Love Poems handout for tomorrow.

Block A:  You need to have 4 sticky notes on symbols and symbolism for tomorrow.  Please read up to the end of chapter 18 for our Lit Circle meeting tomorrow.

Block A:  The good copy of your Individualism Essay is due tomorrow - don't forget to double-space please!!!  Also the visual is to handed in at the same time.  Please complete the self-evaluation portion of the assignment before handing it in.

Block C:  Keep working on those verbal visual essays - they are due tomorrow!  The outline for your  literary essay based on your novel is due on Friday.

Block D:  Presentations are over!  Hand in your self and peer evaluation form.  Please bring your lit. circle novel to class tomorrow without all the sticky notes.  Also we will start the class with silent reading to please bring your novel.

Tuesday that feels like Monday!

Block D:  Presentations continue tomorrow!!!

Block C:  Continue working on your Verbal/Visual Essay and the outline of your written essay on your novel.  The outline is due on Friday the 15th - the rough draft is due on Monday the 18th - and the good copy is due on Thursday the 21st.

Block A:  Tonight:  take the feedback given to you by your peer editor and apply it to your essay - bring another draft tomorrow for another round of editing.  Bring all collage materials to class - as it will be your last opportunity to get work done in class.  The good copy of your essay along with the visual is due on Thursday Oct. 14th.

Block A:  Be sure to have your draft finished of your "Individualism" project for Tuesday as it is peer editing day!  Also please bring any materials you need for the visual component of the project.

Task worthy Tuesday!

Block D:  We started our group novel "Experience" presentations today! We will be working on these for the remainder of the week - so use your time well!  Bring any materials you need to class. We will also be starting silent reading so bring in a novel of your choice for tomorrow's class.

Block C:  It was our last novel meeting today!  Your novel should be complete at this point.  You will be starting your verbal visual essay tomorrow - so bring your creativity to class!

Block A:  We started your Individualism assignment today - there was no homework!
